East Lenexa, West Lenexa, and the Greenbelts Between
East of I-435 — Old Town Lenexa, the streets around Santa Fe Trail Drive, Lackman, Westbrooke, and Indian Trails — the neighborhoods date to the 1960s and 70s and the trees are fully mature. Pin oaks, silver maples, and sweetgums planted when the houses were built now cover entire lots, and those yards drop leaves the way Old Overland Park and Prairie Village do: a lot of them, over about six weeks, with the oaks finishing last.
West Lenexa around City Center, Falcon Ridge, Mize Farm, and Woodland Trails is newer, and the street trees are still growing in. On paper those lots should be easy.
